A babymoon is much like a honeymoon except it's for expectant mothers and their significant others. Over the year's babymoon has become an increasingly popular trend often considered as the final holiday for a couple before they take on the challenges of managing a family.

It's pertinent to note that babymoons, as fun as they can be, are strongly advised to be taken in the second trimester of pregnancy after the milestone 12-week mark has been passed. It's also far safer to fly in your 2nd trimester, although for a long-haul flight it's advised to speak to your doctor.

If you absolutely insist on having a babymoon during the 1st or the 3rd trimester then it's recommended that you visit a local destination that doesn't require too much arduous travel.
